My classmate and I created a curriculum plan for a high-school digital art class. The link contains our outline, budget description, lesson plans and assessment strategy.
The purpose of this page is to find education pages that can be useful in the art classroom. This will allow me to find good lesson plans and give me some good background for future reference.
This lesson was interesting to me, because I think it is a great one for fall. Leaves and twigs can be used for this project, so as a teacher I think it would be easy to collect materials. I think kids would really enjoy it and it would also teach them about the term texture. They may be inspired to use it in later projects as well.
This was a very different type of lesson than I've seen. They can use historic artwork to recreate something similar. I think this would be intriguing for students because of the difference in materials. It's a very different kind of project that would entice students and keep them intrigued.
This lesson can also been interesting for all age groups. I think younger kids would find it super fun to take pictures of each other. The project could be more advanced for older students as well. This allows students to explore the concept of themes.
Students can relate this project to math. They can use fabric to create patterns. I think this one would be useful because math is often looked down upon in art. It can instill good values in students about the importance of math within art.
